Al Bari Traders is built on a foundation of dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to quality. Established in 2008 by Babar Siddique, the company has grown from a small initiative into a trusted supplier of premium Saudi dates across Pakistan.

A Humble Beginning with Challenges

Before stepping into the dates business, Babar Siddique ran a small department store. After years of running it, he had to close it down due to unforeseen circumstances. At that time, he was uncertain about his next step.

It was then that his elder brother, who was based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, suggested that he explore the dates import business. With limited experience but a strong belief in hard work, Babar Siddique took this opportunity and started with small sample shipments.

Back in 2008, Saudi dates were not easily available in Lahore, and only a few suppliers were bringing them from Karachi. With great effort, he introduced Saudi dates to the Lahore market, convincing customers to try a new and premium product.

His first bulk shipment arrived with excitement but also a hard lesson—half the stock was damaged due to improper shipping. Instead of giving up, he learned from the mistake, improved the logistics, and kept moving forward.

Through patience and hard work, his business grew—from a few cartons to large shipments, and eventually to full 20-foot containers.

Unlike many other suppliers, we do not rely on third parties for sourcing dates. Instead, Babar Siddique personally travels to Medina Munawwara every year, where he hand-picks the finest dates directly from the farms. This direct sourcing allows us to ensure:

With over 17 years of experience (2008 - 2025), Al Bari Traders has become a recognized name in the market. Moving forward, we plan to strengthen our presence across Pakistan and gradually explore opportunities for international expansion.

Now, a new generation is stepping in. Muhammad Bilal, son of Babar Siddique, started with marketing and customer engagement, successfully building a strong client base. As the business evolves, he is now taking charge of the online operations, making premium dates more accessible through digital platforms.
